Beulah Jordan's Obituary
Beulah Ferrell Jordan, 90 of Huntersville went to be with her Lord and Savior August 10, 2014 at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House. She was born on December 22, 1923 in Mecklenburg County to the late Ross and Edith Pruett Ferrell.
Mrs. Jordan was owner of Sasseen Beauty Salon in Charlotte. She was also a founding member of the North Mecklenburg Community Chorus and was a long time member of the North Mecklenburg Women’s Club. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church since she was a young girl. She held many different offices within the church during her life which included President of the United Methodist Women, church historian, organist and choir director. She and her husband Burwell also served as youth ministers. Mrs. Jordan was greatly loved by her entire church family and will be greatly missed by both young and old.
She was preceded in death by her husband Burwell Jordan; brother, Maurice Ferrell and sister, Jeanette Lovvorn and nephew Gary Ferrell.
Survivors include her brother, Jimmy Ferrell (Jeanie) of Mt. Holly; Godson Kevin Ferrell; nephews, Randy Ferrell (Lori), Reggie Ferrell (Robin), Rick Beard (Mavis), Eddie Ferrell, Bill Ferrell (Lynn), Ken Ferrell (Mary), and Mark Ferrell (Clare).
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Asbury United Methodist Church, 11724 Asbury Chapel Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
The family will receive friends at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville from 6-8 PM Tuesday.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 13 at Asbury U.M.C. with Rev. Jimmy Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
