Beverly Ann Harris' Obituary
Beverly Ann Harris, aged 82 of Grand Rapids, MI received her wings on 04-12-2018. She passed away peacefully with her daughter Cindy and granddaughter Megan by her side.
She was born on August 1, 1935 to the late Joseph Gallagher and Mary Wallace in Sullivan Indiana and spent the last 6 years of her life with her daughter and family in North Carolina.
She married her high school sweetheart Larry Harris on 06-30-1955 and lived in Colorado Springs while Larry was in the Army and eventually moved to Grand Rapids, MI. This became their home where they raised their two daughters and made many lifelong friends. Beverly loved to read and loved spending time with her husband and so many wonderful friends at the Elks Country Club playing golf. They were avid Hoosier Basketball fans and never missed watching a game.
She was known as the pretty little blonde that always looked like a million bucks. When Larry and her hit the dance floor everyone would stop and stare. This lady never lost that look of perfection, a true beauty.
Beverly loved to travel the world and was even baptized in the Jordan River with her friends from the Calvary Church on a trip to Israel. However of all the places she went, Hilton Head Island held a special place in her heart as Larry and she had a place there for many years.
Beverly balanced raising her two daughters while working for Droski, Lindsey & Meyers in the Insurance industry as a secretary.
Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband Larry Harris and parents. She is survived by her sister Patsy Knox, Daughters Amy Debartolo, Cindy Perry and Son in Law Ron Perry, three grandchildren Holly (Hoogerhyde) Alexander, Megan (Perry) Khouy and Cullen Perry as well as five great grandchildren Jayde, Nevaeh, Reese, Jayce and Beckham.
There will be a celebration of Beverly’s life at 1:00pm on June 10th of 2018 at Rivertown Park Clubhouse, 3325 Scenic River SW Wyoming MI.
