Bill Penninger's Obituary
William F. “Bill” Penninger, 74, of Concord, NC died July 6, 2013 at The Gardens of Taylor Glen. He was born on December 31, 1938 to the late William and Marjorie Penninger. Bill was a master carpenter, building anything from schools to homes to nuclear stations. He loved to garden and share the fruits of his labors. Known as “the mayor” of Taylor Glen, he will be missed by his neighbors there. Even after his first stroke which left him in a wheelchair with left side paralysis, he adapted and kept living life to the fullest, which was a great motivator to those who knew him. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy and sister Hope Crepps.
Survivors include his son Mark Penninger and wife Teresa of LaGrande, OR; daughter Beverly Penninger and partner Alyson of Charlotte; sister Jean Wolfe of Huntersville; and grandchildren Bailey and Weston.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 9 from 5-7 PM.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 10 in the chapel of James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville with Rev. Ken Fuquay and Rev. T.C. Plexico officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
