Billie Jo Plyler's Obituary
Billie Jo Plyler, 69, of Gray Court, SC, went to be with her beloved husband, Don Plyler, on Monday, October 11, 2015.
Billie Jo was born in Media, PA in 1946. She moved to Florida in the late 60s where she became one of the first female Auctioneers in the state. She moved to the Carolinas in Dec. 1974 where she met the love of her life, Don. Between the two of them they raised five children. Billie Jo opened Country Girls Auction at 5 Points in York, SC in the mid 70’s where she not only had customers but lifelong friends.
Billie Jo was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Newcomer Marian and her sister, Betty Williams. She is survived by her brother, Thomas Chevalier, children David Plyler (Michele), Lynn Lance (Mike), Cathy Greene, Paul Plyler (Carolyn) and James “Jimmy” Nalley (Carolyn), 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at 2:00 PM at James Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at funeral home. Burial will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville.
She will be loved and greatly missed by all.
