Billy Ray Powell's Obituary
Billy Ray Powell, 59, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord September 5, 2013. He was born on September 8, 1953 in Mecklenburg County to the late Jerry and Mildred Powell.
He leaves behind his sister Susy Stillwell and husband Tony; brother Mike Powell and wife Kim; nephews, Douglas Stillwell (Lori), Jamey Powell (Kristy), Michael Powell and Cody Powell; niece, Melissa Bello (Devin); great-nephews, Jake, Sam, Kohle and Cooper and great-niece Breanna along with many more family and friends. His brother J.C. preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to Pineola Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Saturday, September 7 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville.
The viewing will begin at 2:30 with funeral services to begin at 3:00 Sunday, September 8th at Pineola Presbyterian Church in Pineola, NC with burial following in the church cemetery.
