I didn't know Bob all that well, but when I would visit with his brother, Duke, and he was there, he was always a delight to be around. I remember trips to the local fish camp. The whole restaurant would tremble, seeing the Ernsberger boys approahing...
God places special people in our life and we are honored to call Bob our friend. We will miss him dearly and think of him often with a smile and a warm heart. Sara we love you dearly and pray for your strength and well being. You and Bob were good for each other and your love was apparent. We will miss Bob, for sure. His presence filled the room, and he never left you wondering where he stood on any issue. He was a wealth of memorized Scripture which he quoted on many occasions. Enjoy your first Christmas in heaven, Bob!
I knew Mr Ernsberger from Sally’s, the Denver YMCA, where he was known as “Mr E.” Both officials of the Presbyterian Church, we often chatted during his visits to the Y. What I remember most about him was a conversation we had after his medical diagnosis and prior to his surgery. He told me that according to medical statistics his prognosis wasn’t good. He shared that the Sunday before the surgery it was planned for the elders of his church to pray for him during the Sunday worship. We went on to talk about Biblical scripture and hope in Christ Jesus. What impressed me about that time was Bob’s faith in God and its promise of tomorrow whether here or in our home not made with hands. Sincere condolences to the Ernsberger family. You have lots to treasure and I’m certain your loved one will be missed!
What an amazing man. Our family dearly loved Bob and his witty ways. He had the energy of 10 men. Prayers for comfort and healing of hearts until we all meet him again. Sarah we love you and know how hard this has been. Keep that beautiful smile to share with your grandkids. David my schoolmate from a long time ago... many happy memories of our parents taking us kids to Perkins after Sunday services. Love to all.
