Bob Murdock,'s Obituary
Bob Eugene Murdock, Jr. of Huntersville, North Carolina passed away Saturday, September 12th, in his home surrounded by family. Bob was born January 1st, 1957 in Anderson, SC. He is survived by his mother Peggy Murdock, wife of 34 years Robin Murdock, daughter Gloria Painter (Travis) and son Bobby Murdock III, sister Kathleen Murdock (Mike), brother Rodrick Murdock (Cindy), and granddaughter Kadence Painter and various nieces and nephews.
Bob attended Penland School of Crafts in 1975 and CPCC where he studied his craft. He married his wife September 12th, 1981 and created a life for his family using his unique talents as a goldsmith. His artistry is expressed in each of his beautiful pieces of jewelry. He reached his dream of owning his own business for 15 years, Studio 101, before his passing.
Bob was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He loved being with family whether it was by the pool in the summer or by the bonfire in the winter. He loved making people laugh with his hilarious jokes and had such an art for telling them.
A memorial services will be held at the Huntersville Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, NC at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 19th. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Center for Development in Central America (352 Carly Ln, Rock Hill, SC 29732) or to Hospice.
