Bobby L. Combs' Obituary
Bobby Leroy Combs, 80, of Charlotte, entered eternal life on Friday, January 29, 2021. He was born in Mocksville, North Carolina to the late Pauline Pinkston and stepfather, Norman Pinkston.
After graduating from China Grove High School, Bobby went on to attend Pitt Technical School learning Architectural Drafting and was promoted to Building Superintendent in 1969. He attended and graduated from Piedmont Bible Institute and furthered his education by attending classes in OSHA on regulations pertaining to construction. This education served him well as he made his career in supervising construction duties at several different companies including Westport Corp, F.N. Thompson, Inc., Pinnix, Inc., Duke Power at the Catawba Nuclear Station, and the D.C. Turner Construction Co.
In addition to his parents, Bobby is predeceased by his brothers, Gene Wright, Craig Pinkston, and Gary Pinkston; and grandson, Joshua Combs.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jean Weissrock Combs; his children, Warren Combs of Asheville, Rena Combs (Tony Fish) of Stanley; Cindy Ferrell of Mt. Holly; Paul Combs of Stanley; and Nathan Combs of Mt. Holly; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, 11:00 AM at Grace Covenant Church of Cornelius.
