Bonnie Woods Burgess' Obituary
Bonnie Woods Burgess, 83 of Huntersville died December 28 at her home. She was born on September 2, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Wayne and Mallie Putnam Woods. Bonnie was a proud school teacher, last teaching at Long Creek Elementary School. She loved to knit and blessed many in the community with her prayershawls. Bonnie was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Billy and daughter, Timi Eaton.
Survivors include her sons, Chuk and wife Barbara of Huntersville, Mike and wife Betty of Kenansville and Tom and wife Pam of Concord; brothers, Wesley and Sanford Woods of Lenoir; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte or Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Monday, December 30 at James Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Hopewell Presbyterian with Rev. Grady Moseley officiating. Burial will take place at the Woods Family Cemetery in Darby at 2 PM.
