Bonnie Louise Prunka peacefully passed away on November 29, 2022, at the age of 72, with her husband and children at her side. She was born on June 29, 1950 in West Virginia to the late Floyd and Mary Spence. She was the daughter- Read Obituary
My beloved sister was one of the best human beings I have ever known. She was an example I have always tried to emulate and will continue to do so every day. She was the best of my parents’ ten children. It is no surprise that she was called home first to be in heaven. We shall miss her dearly.
I had the privilege and blessing to be part of the Spence family and I will cherish that as long as I live. Through that I had the blessing of having Bonnie in my life. Bonnie was grace personified. A beautiful presence in any situation. Always so strong and stoic, kind and understanding. But what amazed me the most was the the profound love she had for her husband and family. You could see the love she shared in those around her. Her beauty, grace and love will remain with all those she touched forever in their hearts and precious memories.

Tim, My prayers are with you at this tough time! I have many fond, fond memories of you and Bonnie including poker night, sailing and even the wedding in Oak Brook several years ago. She was one of the best. Ken Folgers
Bonnie and Tim were very good friends of ours. Time and geography have caused us to lose touch more recently, but we have some wonderful memories of Bonnie. She was a good person with a kind heart and someone you could always depend on.
It is hard to choose a memory to share but this one comes to mind: We were all vacationing in Edinburgh, Scotland a few years ago. Tim and I had a tee time for one of the St Andrews courses the following day but Tim had ““forgotten” to mention that minor detail to Bonnie. After a beer or two in the hotel pub, he broke the news to Bonnie. She smiled and said “that’s ok, Mary and I will spend the day shopping, and we are a lot better at shopping than you are at golf”. Of course she was right. The next day after Tim and I had finished the first hole, our caddy wanted to renegotiate his fee. And when we got back to the hotel, Bonnie and Mary had more packages than they could carry.
We will miss Bonnie - and we will smile when thinking of her.

Bonnie was a dear friend when we were in high school, even tho I went to PHS and she to PCHS. I lived a couple houses down on 30th Street in Parkersburg. I was envious of her big family (as an only). She recruited me to candystripers at St Joseph’s, and invited me to church at St Margaret Mary. I saw her last at her wedding. If any of her siblings remember me, know that she is in my prayers and heart ♥️
