Boyd Plummer's Obituary
Boyd Melvin Plummer, 83 of Charlotte, passed away on July 1, 2012.
Mr. Plummer was born on April 1, 1929, to the late William Asbury and
Callie C. Plummer. Mr. Plummer graduated from Paw Creek High School and
retired from Local #61 Insulations Union. He was a faithful member of Pleasant
Grove United Methodist Church and the Madelyn Tyson Sunday School Class.
Mr. Plummer will be missed by his loving wife of 63 years Eleanor Mozeley Plummer, their three sons,
Mike, Rick (Leanne) and Gene (Kelly) Plummer, 9 grandchildren, Michael and Josh,
Thomas James, Taryn, Chase, Daniel, Maggie, Blair and Lane,
6 great-grand children, Brother Kenneth (Tommie), sister-in-law Charlotte and
numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. In addition to his parents,
Mr. Plummer was preceded in death by his older brother Allen Reid Plummer.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Plummer will be held 2:00 Thursday, July 5 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Towery, Pastor,
assisted by Rev. Phil Turner, Rev. Boyce Huffestler and Rev. Wes Judy. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 prior to the service at the church.
Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
The family request that memorials in honor of Boyd be made to Pleasant Grove United
Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
