Brenda Hastings' Obituary
Brenda Kay Hastings, 79, of Salters, SC formerly of Huntersville, NC died December 29, 2022. She was born on July 30, 1943 in Mooresville to the late Robert Glenn Hastings and Catherine Brown Hastings.
Brenda is preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brother, Kenneth Brown Hastings. Survivors include Sue Hastings Mayberry with her spouse, Eddie, and her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren, Tina Hastings Brown with her spouse, Freddie & the children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren of Kenneth Brown Hastings.
Brenda loved baseball with the Atlanta Braves being her favorite team and Chipper Jones her all time favorite player. She loved to talk baseball and attend games with her nephews, Rodney & Robbie. Brenda was an accomplished artist, loving to create art from a very early age. She learned much from her father who also loved to create.
Brenda retired from Bell South, now AT&T, having begun work in Charlotte, NC as an operator, in Atlanta, GA in the switch office and ending her career in the Huntersville and Davidson switch offices.
A visitation will be held from 2-4 PM Sunday, January 8 at James Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Bethel Presbyterian Church.
