Brenda was always kind and genuine, a ray of sunshine for us all. It was a privilege to have taught school with her and to be her friend.
Mrs. Scott was my mentor when I started teaching in NC. I was new to teaching Kindergarten and had just moved to a new state (I am from Ohio). I met her for the first time at a mentor/first time teacher workshop they held. She was so kind and willing to answer any questions at the time and anytime that year and even after she retired. It was her last year of teaching, so I was thankful to be able to get such great wisdom and advice from a well-loved teacher! And I was so sad when the year ended, and she retired. I got to go to her visit with her a few times before I moved back to Ohio but am sad that it wasn't more times. I love you Mrs. Scott. Thank you for everything you taught me so I could strive to be even half the kindergarten teacher you were!
The world has lost a bright light. Brenda was always so kind and welcoming to me, and I will forever remember her warmth and be grateful for it. Her positive attitude was infectious and inspiring. We need more people like her in the world. She will be sorely missed.
With deepest sympathy and prayers to the family. What a good and faithful servant. Brenda is dancing in heaven.
