Captola Mauney Kidd's Obituary
Captola Elizabeth Mauney Kidd “Tolie”, age 89, of Charlotte, died on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine Mauney. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Brevard” Kidd in 2012.
“Tolie” was born on October 9, 1928.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher J. Kidd and his wife, Candy, James K. Kidd and his wife, Susan, all of Charlotte, a daughter, Bonnie K. Tadlock and her husband, Bill of Concord, eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a brother, Theodore Mauney and his wife Carol of Todd, NC.
In addition to her husband, Tolie was predeceased by a son, William Brevard Kidd, Jr., “Billy” and a daughter, Judith Aileen Kidd.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2PM Sunday, March 11 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 10500 Beatties Ford Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078 with Reverend Vernon Dodd and Reverend Dr. Allan Purtill, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, Sherrills Ford Hospice House, 7473 Sherrills Ford Rd, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
