Carl Morgan Griffith, Jr. "Morgan", 56, of Kannapolis, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Born in Martinsville, Virginia on October 25, 1969, he was the son of Mary Suzanne (Pfeifer) Orren.Morgan was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Mary Pfeifer, and his great-grandparents, Harry "Jack" Hill and Ellen Louise Hill.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kimberly (Milstead) Griffith; his daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Ryan Nesseth; his stepdaughter, Kayla Wheeler; his mother, Mary Orren; his siblings, Ginger Maher and her husband, Brian, Jamie Fox and her husband, David, and Carla Sheridan; his cherished grandchildren, Jase and Jaden Nesseth, Amber Suttle, and Peggy Wheeler; his mother-in-law, Terry Milstead; and his brothers-in-law, Brian Milstead, Paul Milstead and wife, Lacie.
Morgan proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Gulf War. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to providing for his family through hard work and unwavering commitment. He believed that his greatest responsibility was to ensure his loved ones were cared for, and he approached that responsibility with quiet determination. He rarely took time off, never complained, and lived by the example that dedication and perseverance were among life's greatest virtues.
A simple man who found joy in life's everyday moments, Morgan loved spending time fishing and had a special affection for animals, especially fish. One of his longtime dreams was to build a koi pond where he could enjoy the peaceful beauty of nature. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved making others laugh, and never missed an opportunity to tell his family how much he loved them. Above all, Morgan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and protector whose love for his family was evident in everything he did.
Morgan's steadfast love, selfless spirit, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
