As a deacon in First Presbyterian Church I visited Carol many times in the last three years. She reflected on her life commenting that she enjoyed her work in the bank. She also mentioned going out to lunch with her friends after she retired. She seemed very happy with her life and especially her family. Even though she became somewhat frail and limited she still pushed to go home. I am certain you all took special care of her and she is now at rest.
So very sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We were pew friends at First Presbyterian for many years and had such special times sharing news and things going on in our lives. I could always talk with her and many times we shared prayer requests. I missed her so when she could no longer attend services. Prayers to you and the family. Diana Hyman
I am sorry for the loss of your dear Carol. During times like this our God gives each one of us a very real hope of actually enjoying life with our passed loved ones once again right here on this good earth. At John 5:28 and 29 Jesus himself tells us that those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection of life, similar to how he resurrected his friend Lazarus. Lazarus was resurrected back to life on earth. That is in harmony with God's original purpose for humans, to "fill the earth and subdue it". (Genesis 1:28) God's original purpose for humans has not changed. To see our passed loved ones again on a beautified earth is a hope few dare to dream about, much less firmly believe in. This hope has helped me get through some tough times and I hope it helps you now. When some time has passed, feel free to visit jw dot org for more comfort. Again, I am sorry for your loss. MN
