Carol Jetton Irvin's Obituary
Mrs. Carol Irvin, 88, of Huntersville, passed away on Monday September 5th, 2022.
She was born to the late Gattis Jetton and Addie Stephens Jetton of Huntersville on June 28th, 1934. She was the baby sister to her two older brothers Boyce and Roger Jetton. She loved being outdoors enjoying the sunshine and getting her hands dirty, watching sports (especially baseball and little league), and spending time with family and friends. She not only raised her own 3 children, Angela "Beth", John and Duane Irvin, but also opened her heart and home to many children in the area.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gattis D. and Addie Stephens Jetton; her older brothers, Boyce and Roger Jetton; her first husband, Kenneth Irvin; second husband, Sidney Wilfong; and her daughter, Angela Beth Irvin.
Carol is survived by her sister-in-law, Glenda Jetton of Knoxville TN; first cousin, Jim Canipe of Elkin, NC; sons, John of Huntersville and Duane of Lincolnton; "daughter" Kathy and "granddaughter" Hannah of Lincolnton; "daughter" Lisa King of Charlotte, sister-in-law, Mary Wilson of Georgia; stepdaughter, Wanda Jones of Gastonia; "daughter" Kathy J of Huntersville; granddaughter, Stephanie Irvin and great-granddaughters, Autumn and Sadie all of Huntersville; and many, many others she was blessed to know and love throughout her life.
The graveside service will be held on Sunday September 11, 2022, at 2 PM at Gilead A.R.P Church in Huntersville.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to her childhood church at Hopewell Presbyterian Church or her married church at Gilead A.R.P both located in Huntersville on Beatties Ford Road.
