Carol Volkmar's Obituary
Carol Ann Cuvelier Volkmar, 83, of Goose Creek, SC, formerly of Huntersville, NC, died December 24, 2020, at the Summerville Community Hospice House.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday, December 30, 2020, in the St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. Final Farewell and Commendation will follow at 10:00 AM Thursday morning, December 31, 2020, in the Salisbury National Cemetery.
Mrs. Volkmar was born January 27, 1937, in Rochester, NY, a daughter of Floyd Kenneth Cuvelier and Wanda Stupkiewicz Cuvelier. She was a Franciscan T. O. R. and a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. She was also a former member of St. Marks Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC. Mrs. Volkmar enjoyed studying her Bible, drawing, and painting. She also had a love for music and taught many to play the piano and organ. Mrs. Volkmar was the widow of John A. “Jack” Volkmar.
Surviving are, two daughters, Kathleen V. Arreola of Fairborn, OH, and Teresa V. Mattice of Rochester, NY; two sons, Tom Volkmar of Goose Creek, and Stephen Volkmar of Nauborn, Germany; a brother, James Cuvelier of Big Island, VA; three grandchildren, Chris, Emily and Anthony; and three great-grandchildren.
