Carole Hall Erwin's Obituary
Carole Hall Erwin, 80, of Davidson, died May 31, 2020. She was born on January 17, 1940 to the late Thomas and Jennie Hall.
Carole was a private person who was extremely loyal to her family. She cherished family memories. Throughout her life her interest in history was evident , not only in her college major, but as she traveled extensively in the United States and to Ireland and Scotland. At a young age she spent many hours camping and enjoying the outdoors. She fell in love with the northwest during a summer job at Yellowstone National Park. She liked to get in her car and explore the surrounding area where she lived. During one period of her life she helped her husband ferry fire trucks. Her family was always amazed at her detailed memory of past events, whether something she had read, or a family occasion. Carole enjoyed classical music, NFL football, and figure skating. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Erwin and her brother Al Hall.
Survivors include sister-in-law Mary Mac (Randall) Kincaid in Davidson; niece Laura (John), Tyler, Anna, Ellie in Pittsburgh, PA, nephew Cody (Mary), Owen, Evan Hall in Scottsdale, AZ and relatives in South Carolina and Tennessee.
Memorials may be made to The Pine's Residence Assistance Fund, 400 Avinger Lane, Davidson, NC 28036.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Mimosa Cemetery, Davidson. Reverend Robert Alexander will officiate.
