Carolyn Cascarano's Obituary
Carolyn Cascarano, age 71, of Huntersville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2026, while in the care of Novant Health Medical Center of Huntersville, surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born on December 31, 1954, in New Orleans LA, to Yale and Georgia (Souther) Citrin. She was married to the late Victor Cascarano.
Carolyn was a homemaker, wife and mother. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies were writing poetry, painting, sketching artwork, playing scrabble and reading the dictionary. She also loved reading the Bible and quoted scripture frequently. Carolyn really enjoyed watching comedy shows especially Jay Leno and Seinfeld. Her favorite snacks were Diet Coke and cheese puffs. She was great at complimenting people and would make your day when you saw her with kind words. She was also very generous and loved giving gifts every time you saw her. She was such a gentle soul and a delight to be around. Carolyn was a gift to this world and will be greatly missed.
Carolyn is predeceased by her parents and her husband. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Regina M Ober and her husband Thomas, her sons John Cascarano and his wife Jackie, and Joseph Cascarano and her grandchildren Marina, Suzanna, Lucia, Sutton, Finn, Natalie and Vincent.
Services for Carolyn will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, beginning with a vistation at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC at 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at Saint Mark Roman Catholic Church, 14740 Stumptown Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078. Interment will be held at Meadowview Cemetery, 204 Philadelphia Church Road, Blairsville, GA 30512.
