Carolyn Davis Hudson's Obituary
Carolyn Davis Hudson , 89, of Huntersville, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at The Laurels in Highland Creek. She was born February 21, 1937, in Charlotte, NC to the late Edison and Nancy Davis.
Carolyn was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School and married to the late John Thomas “Tommy” Hudson for 48 years. Both she and Tommy worked at Consolidated Engravers in Charlotte for over 40 years prior to their retirements.
Carolyn was devout in her faith and an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Union, SC, St. John’s United Methodist Church in Charlotte and Asbury Methodist Church in Huntersville. She served in various leadership positions and was very active in the United Methodist Women. In addition, she and Tommy were youth counselors for a number of years opening their home to a number of young people for meals and fellowship, as well as, chaperones for various camping trips, beach trips and youth camps.
Carolyn loved to travel and she and Tommy took many trips with close friends over the years all over the US and Europe. They also enjoyed square dancing and were members for a number of years in the Circle Eights. But Carolyn’s favorite times were with her family. She especially loved time with her granddaughters and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Hudson and her sister, Doris Turner. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hughes (Randy) of Huntersville, NC, granddaughters, Heather Hughes and Lindsey Wally (Brent), great-grandchildren, Austin and Jax Wally and Anniston Hughes. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 11:00 AM at Asbury Chapel Global Methodist Church in Huntersville. The interment will follow immediately after the service at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial.
