Cecily was a woman who never met a stranger. Warm, open-hearted, and endlessly social, she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her kindness drew people to her, and the many friendships she nurtured throughout her life stand as a testament to the love she shared so freely.
A dedicated educator, Cecily began her career as a high school teacher before earning her Master’s degree in counseling and continuing her work by guiding and supporting people as a counselor. Her ability to listen, to encourage, and to see the best in others touched countless lives.
Cecily’s life was rich with interests and passions. She was a great lover of the arts, whether attending the theater, the symphony, or simply enjoying music at home. She found joy in nature as an active member of her garden club, and she shared her love of literature through her book club. A devoted animal lover, she adored her cats and dogs, each a cherished companion.
An avid bridge player and golfer, Cecily kept her calendar lively with two bridge groups and many afternoons on the course. Her independent spirit anchored her life; she cherished her home and the comfort and autonomy it provided. She also enjoyed traveling, embracing new places and experiences with enthusiasm.
Above all, Cecily was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was the joy of her life, and her love will continue to guide them. She leaves behind a wide circle of friends who loved her deeply and will miss her dearly.
Cecily’s legacy lives on in the kindness she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.
