Celia Campbell's Obituary
Celia Kerley Campbell, of Mooresville, joined her beloved husband Thad in the presence of their Savior Jesus Christ on July 25, 2020. She was born on April 13, 1935, in Kannapolis, NC to the late Felix and Beatrice Kerley. She was a member of Peninsula Baptist Church. Celia had a long career working alongside her husband at a local cosmetics company. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Celia is survived by the following family members who love her dearly: One sister, Phyllis McRary of Lenoir, NC, daughter Sharon Wheeler and husband Fred, son Barry Campbell and wife Wanda, and daughter Teresa Little; grandchildren are Amber Drye and husband Darren, Drew Little and wife Sara, Ami Shaw, Jennifer Shaw, Nathan Wheeler and wife Hannah, Aubrie Blackmon and husband Brad; great-grandchildren are Nolan Drye, Wesley Little, Selene Shaw, Liam Drye, Caroline Little, Noah Little, Anslie Blackmon, Ella Blackmon, Ada Wheeler, and Joan Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Little.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County or to Samaritan’s Purse.
The family is being served by James Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Visitation will be 11:00 AM to noon on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in the chapel at James. Service will follow at noon in the chapel with Rev. John Hill officiating. Interment will be at Rocky Mount UMC Cemetery.
