Cesar Italo Rivas' Obituary
Cesar Italo Rivas (1928–2025) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, January 2, at his home in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born in Santa Ana, Ecuador, Cesar dedicated his life to working as a veterinarian and professor. His passion for animals and teaching made him an invaluable mentor and colleague. He will be remembered as a pillar of the community in Calceta, Ecuador, where he spent much of his life as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Cesar is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and other family members. While we mourn the loss of such a remarkable man, we are comforted by the knowledge that his legacy will endure. He now rests in the peace of Christ, under the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A mass will be held for Cesar at St Mark’s Catholic Church (1470 Stumptown Rd, Huntersville NC 28078) at 11AM on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025. Please join us in honoring his life and memory.
César Italo Rivas (1928–2025) falleció en la Paz del Señor, rodeado de su familia, el jueves 2 de enero en su hogar en Charlotte, Carolina del Norte. Nacido en Santa Ana, Ecuador, César dedicó su vida a trabajar como veterinario y profesor universitario. Su pasión por los animales y la enseñanza lo convirtió en un mentor y colega invaluable. Será recordado como un pilar de la comunidad de Calceta, Ecuador donde pasó gran parte de su vida. Él fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo devoto.
César deja atrás a su amada esposa, hijos, hijas políticas, nietos, y demás familiares. Aunque lamentamos la pérdida de un hombre tan extraordinario, nos consuela saber que su legado perdurará. Ahora descansa en la Paz de Cristo, bajo el amoroso cuidado de la Santísima Virgen María.
