Charles Tucker Houghton's Obituary
Charles (Chuck) Tucker Houghton, 58, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sept. 12, 2013. He was born on March 2, 1955. Chuck attended Foothill High School in Bakersfield, California. He married Robin Houghton, his “Luva,” in 2001. He was a dedicated Christian, finding purpose in helping build orphanages in Bolivia and traveling to Israel last April to further his Christian faith. For the last 16 years, he led the North American operations for a German hydraulic company as Vice President and General Manager for Hawe Hydraulics. Most will remember his wonderful smile and laugh along with his warm hugs. He inspired those around him with his positive attitude and motivation in everything he believed in.
Chuck was preceded in death by parents, June and Bob Houghton; brother, Mike Houghton; and sister, Katie Perkins. He is survived by wife, Robin Houghton of Huntersville, North Carolina; Daughter, Kristin Derrin and her husband Luke Derrin of Lennox Head, Australia; and 3 brothers: Steven and Theresa Houghton of The Woodlands, Texas; Jeff and Lisa Houghton of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Dave Houghton of Raleigh, North Carolina. He has 18 nephews and nieces and many amazing friends and relatives.
Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. at Lake Forest Church at 8519 Gilead Road in Huntersville, North Carolina.
