Charles Little's Obituary
Charles Eugene Little, of Augusta GA, passed away Wednesday December 7, 2022.
Charles was native to Sacramento, CA and moved all over the world while serving in the Navy and Army. He settled down in Augusta GA when he was 34 where he raised his family until he and his wife Luevonia moved to Huntersville NC, 2 years ago.
Charles, affectionately known as Charlie, was a very big family man. Nothing was more important to him than his family except the Lord. He was a devoted Christian who was baptized into Christ in 1985 and loved to share the bible with whoever would listen. He also never met a Christian tee shirt he didn’t like.
In his free time, he enjoyed reading his bible, collecting stamps and coins, solving crossword puzzles and watching sports or old westerns. Some of his favorite sports teams were San Francisco 49s, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Clemson and Georgia. He always relished an opportunity to razz his family and friends about their team. You would always find Charlie surrounded by his family and friends with a big smile on his face and a boisterous contagious laugh that just sucked you right in and brought joy whenever you heard it.
Charlie is preceded in his transition by his late mother and father, Dollie Wells and Eugene Little Jr. as well as his sister, Katherine Little.
His memory will be treasured by his wife Luevonia Smith Little and children Matthew (Stephanie) Little, Eric (Aqueelah) Smith, Kadeshia Holloman, Holly (Jason) Rice, Kimberly Hamilton, Nathanael (Rachel) Little, KaTonya (Sean) Wilson and Jacob Little as well as 12 grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, for 1 hour from 2:00-3:00 PM at James Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 3:00 PM. The interment will be held on Friday, December 16, 10:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
James Funeral Home, of Huntersville, is serving the family and obituary lovingly written by the family.
