Charles Ronald Newton's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Ronald Newton, 84, of Davidson who passed away June 20, 2026. He was born on November 13, 1941 in Johnson City, NY. Chuck was the eldest of three siblings born to the late Charles H. Newton and Anna Shawkey Palmer. He was predeceased by his youngest brother, Craig Newton.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Marilyn Newton; daughter, Ann Marie Coleman and devoted son-in-law, Dr. Dennis Coleman of Davidson; son, Jeffrey Newton and beloved daughter-in-law, Kendra Newton of Waxhaw. He was a devoted and proud grandfather to six grandchildren; Ryan (Elizabeth), Meaghan (Aaron), Kathryn, Matthew, John, and Sarah; and two beautiful great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Addie. Chuck is also survived by his brother; Brian (Alice) Newton.
Chuck took great pride and joy supporting and being the number one fan of his children and grandchildren's passions. He dedicated 34 years as Project Executive for a Fortune 500 Company. Chuck instilled the value of hardwork and respect for others to his family. Those who knew him remember his bright smile, patient and happy nature. His legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 Wednesday, June 24 at James Funeral Home. The Mass will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 25 at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial following at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
