Charles V. Rece's Obituary
Charles V. Rece, 89 of Lincolnton died January 3, 2020. He was born on July 18, 1930 in Cabell County, WV to the late William and Ruth Rece. He was a veteran of the US Army. Charles was an avid Sprint Car Fan and drove for many years. He was an accomplished Scrimshaw artist. He was a member of Asbury U.M.C.-Lincolnton.
He is preceded in death by his wife Billie J. Rece.
Survivors include his son, Charles Rece and wife Brenda of Charlotte and daughter, Julia Smith and husband Joel of Charlotte; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warrior Project.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, January 6 at Assurance U.M.C. with burial following at Forest Lawn West. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 PM prior.
