Charles Alan Reisig's Obituary
Charles (Chuck) Reisig passed away April 3, 2023, at the age of 73 following an extended illness.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rose, along with sons Adam (Shelley) and Dan (Rachel), and three loving grandchildren. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date.
Chuck was born January 3, 1950, in Brooklyn, NY. He lived there until moving to San Diego, CA for much of his childhood, returning to Brooklyn in his teenage years. Chuck graduated from James Madison High School and attended Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, where he was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity.
One morning in 1970 after playing football at the beach with his fraternity brothers, the group went for breakfast at the International House of Pancakes in Brooklyn. It was there that Rose caught his eye, and the two courted for several years before marrying in March 1974.
They relocated to Northern Virginia where Chuck worked for many years with IBM and Kodak, settling in Reston, VA where they raised their two children. In 2013, they relocated to the Charlotte area to be closer to family. Chuck was an avid reader and loved cars and travel, frequently planning his next trip.
The family would like to extend its appreciation for the care and support provided by Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center during this difficult time.
James Funeral Home, of Huntersville, is serving the family and obituary lovingly written by the family.
