Charles Thomas' Obituary
Charles Haddon Thomas, 94, of Huntersville died October 7, 2021. He was born on September 26, 1927 in Gaston County to the late John and Estelle Thomas. He served in the US Army, He retired from Ivey’s after 43 years. He was a Member of American Legion Post 321, the North Mecklenburg Rotary Club, and the QUIET BIRDMEN Charlotte Hanger. He was a pilot and loved recreational flying. He also loved his family deeply.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Smith Thomas.
Survivors include his son, Donald Thomas of Charleston; daughter, Libby Mundy of Huntersville; sister, Ruth Knight; and 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Huntersville Presbyterian Church at 3 PM on Sunday Oct. 10. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will follow at Huntersville ARP Church.
