Charlotte Tyson's Obituary
Charlotte Jeanette Dover Tyson, 84, of Denver, NC passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Charlotte was born on July 2, 1928 in Mecklenburg County to the late Charlie Lee Dover and Johnsie Camilla O’Connor Dover . She was a 1946 graduate of Derita High School and retired from NCNB to become co-owner with her husband Bill in their Carolina Coffee Distributors of Charlotte business. In addition to enjoying working beside her husband for many years, she also enjoyed the times they spent traveling throughout the USA in their motor home visiting many wonderful friends.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years William Gray Tyson, daughter Karen Tyson, granddaughter Jennifer Walden White,grandson Gray Bridges, sisters Tommie D. Plummer (Kenneth), Ruth D. Elliott Robinson (Edward) all of Charlotte, in-laws Marion Tyson of Charlotte; Oscar Tyson & Jim Chaney of Boone as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents Charlotte was preceded in death by her brothers Charles Lawson Dover , Master Chief Vann PatrickDover(Margaret), sisters Mabel D. Locke(Furman), Anna D. Holder (Gus) and brother-in-law Grover Elliott.
The Tyson Family will receive friends from 3-5 PM on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at James Funeral Home in Huntersville. Graveside Services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Forest Lawn of Lincolnton Cemetery in Lincolnton with the Rev. Wade Ogle officiating.
