Chivous "C.R." Roselle Lawson's Obituary
Chivous Roselle Lawson, “C.R.”, age 90, of Charlotte, NC, died on Monday, January 7, 2019. He was the son of the late William Brooks Lawson and Inez Bostic Lawson in Rutherford County and was married to Ella Mae Huffstickler Lawson for almost 73 years.
C.R. worked first as a driver and then retired as a dispatcher in the trucking industry. He was one of the founding members of the Oasis Wagoneer’s, and served as a Tripster, transporting children to the Shriners Hospital in Greenville, making over 100 trips. C.R. was a Mason of the 32nd degree KCCH Mason and he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, Ella Mae, he is survived by his daughter, Brenda L. Murray of Charlotte, his son, Randy E. Lawson and his wife, Denesa of Huntersville, three grandchildren, Andrea Pope, and her husband Jim, Daniel Lawson, Leah Molyneaux and her husband, Eric; four great grandchildren, Phillip and Meghan Pope and Noah and Lyla Molyneaux. He was predeceased by two granddaughters, Alycia Renee and Sharron Angela and two brothers, Wade and Joe Lawson.
