Christian Wilbur (Pete) Peters Pete, 95 of Charlotte, NC and Sun Lakes, AZ, went home to eternal life to join his wife Bessie on January 1, 2018. Pete was born on December 16, 1922 to Cornelius and Tina Peters of Hospers, IA. He Read Obituary
Pete was a very modest man. I enjoyed our talks so much at meetings of the Piedmont Daylily Club in Charlotte, NC. Pete made and brought coffee to our group meetings and seemed to enjoy our gardening themed programs. I send my sincere sympathies to his family. His was a life well lived.
Mr. Wilbur Peters, was a special man! In the early '90s, I received a working scholarship at a cattle ranch in Montana, which paid for all my yearly expenses in college, that year. He had this offer the two previous years as well, which benefited several other students with financial needs and a sense of mission and adventure. Later I learned that he had been helping people for several decades and across various continents... He had a sense of purpose and reflected the love of Jesus in the world in which he lived. I was able to meet his family and live with them for a summer, as part of my working scholarship, and experienced that same kindness and love from Roger, Carrie and the rest of the family. My deepest condolences to all the family! May God give you comfort through this time! One Psalm say: “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants.” May God continue to bless his memory among his family and friends and the legacy that he has left!
Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.
