Christopher Kyle Sears' Obituary
Christopher Kyle Sears, 36, of Charlotte passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017.
He was born to Philip and Michelle Sears on October 1, 1980 in Tyler, Texas. Christopher graduated from Zebulon B. Vance High School in 1999, where he was remembered for being the sports editor in the school newspaper, playing baseball and tennis, giving friends rides in his Camaro, and winning the superlative for “best hair”. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005 with a degree in Psychology and Business Management. Upon graduation, Christopher continued to reside in his hometown of Charlotte and began a career at TIAA-CREF as a Senior Customer Resolution Manager where he was a dedicated worker for ten years. Christopher was well known for his contagious laugh, his love of the Atlanta Braves, and his love for dogs. One of his greatest aspirations was to open up a doggie daycare.
Christopher is survived by his parents Philip and Michelle Sears and his sister Ashley Sears, all of Charlotte. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Juanita Kingsbury Hayes of Raleigh, NC, aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of friends, and his beloved dog, Boomer. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Hubert Cecil Sears, Jr and Katherine Warlick Sears, and his maternal grandfather Harold Dwight Hayes.
There will be a visitation held at 1pm and a memorial service at 2pm on Saturday, April 8th at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) or the Alzheimer’s Association.
