Christopher Oakes-Ortiz's Obituary
Christopher Oakes-Ortiz, 23, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, May 26th, 2019.
Christopher was born in Puerto Rico then later lived in Florida until two years earlier from his passing date, he moved to North Carolina. He worked in a few jobs, getting to know the City and meeting new friends and was promoted manager. Christopher enjoyed playing and watching basketball, loved video games, going to new places, and spending time with his family and his two dogs, Chico and Asap who he loved and adored very much. Christopher loved his family and his family dearly, and held us close to his generous heart. He also loved to write music in his spare time. Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Oakes.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Samantha Hernandez of Charlotte, NC, his step father, Juan Hernandez of Charlotte, NC, his brother, Alexander Oakes of Charlotte, NC, his sisters, Lilliana Higgins of Tampa, FL, Estefania Hernandez of Charlotte, NC
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at James Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-2 prior.
The Committal Service will be on Monday, June 3rd at 10 a.m. at NorthLake Memorial Gardens.
