Claire Sawdey's Obituary
Claire Sawdey, beloved wife, sister, aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt, passed into God’s hands from natural causes on March 31, 2023, after a long and fulfilling life in Woonsocket, Rhode Island; Ocala, Florida; and Davidson, NC. She will be remembered fondly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Claire was born on January 1, 1947, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the late Henri and Marie Belleville. She is survived by husband, Gerald Sawdey; brother, Normand Belleville (Paulette); nephew, Henri Belleville (Mia) of Gainesville, Florida; niece, Nicole Zinn (Craig) of Mooresville, North Carolina; great-nephews, Andrew, Zackery, Walker, Logan, and Tyler; great-great niece, Arisa; as well as cherished cousins and friends.
For many years, Claire devoted her time to work at Miller Electric and as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her dedication to service extended beyond her employment; she was an active union representative, a devoted member of her church, and an enthusiastic activity director in her local community. In her spare time, Claire enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as bowling, playing cards, reading, traveling, and savoring meals with family and friends.
In honor of Claire, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the church of your choice in her memory. No memorial service or funeral is scheduled at this time.
