Claudia Edmiston's Obituary
Ms. Claudia Arrowood Edmiston of Charlotte passed away Monday, March 14th, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Claudia was a native of Asheville, NC and moved to Charlotte in May of 2004 to be closer to her family. She was an active member of Independence Hill Baptist Church. While in Charlotte, she volunteered her time and talents for the betterment of her community. She especially enjoyed contributing to her neighborhood association. A retired Latin teacher, Claudia’s passion for mentoring her students and Junior Classical League participants was unmatched. She also enjoyed travel, especially to explore the roots of her classics education. She is survived by her children; Jim Edmiston (Terri) of Charlotte, NC and Julia Elam of Concord, NC, as well as her four grandchildren; Cassie and Alex Edmiston, Tiffany and Mia Elam.
A celebration of Claudia's life will be held on Saturday, March 19 at Independence Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 11 AM followed by a Memorial Service at Noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Independence Hill Baptist Church.
