Connie "Kelly" House's Obituary
Connie “Kelly” House, 63, of Charlotte and Black Mountain, died August 24, 2014 at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born on May 24, 1951, in Wake County to the late Woodrow Wilson Dunlap and Katherine Dunlap Crowe.
Connie had many interests and held several different jobs. The one of which she was most proud was her years as a substance abuse counselor. She had to take early retirement due to many health problems.
Connie will be best remembered for her zany sense of humor and very quick wit. She could see the fun side of almost anything. Two of her favorite places were the beach and her beloved mountains of North Carolina. She was always ready to hear good music and she loved to dance.
Survivors include her sister Ann Dutton and husband Tom of Cornelius; nephew, Mark Dutton and wife Heather and their son Jordon; and niece, Susan Velardi and husband Monte and their son Tyler.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 Friday, August 29 in the chapel of James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, with Rev. Jill Smith officiating. Visitation will follow.
