Constance Sophia Moran's Obituary
Constance Sophia Moran, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. She was born in Glen Lyon, PA and was the daughter of the late Edward and Sophia Mucha Sugalski.
Connie served in the United States Navy as a Registered Nurse. She served in the medical field her entire career. She was a devoted Catholic and attended church faithfully until her illness prevented her from doing so.
She was an accomplished musician playing the violin and the organ. Connie played for Maynard Potenga who was her uncle, teacher and Orchestra Conductor in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Connie was devoted to her family and they enjoyed camping trips while her children were growing up.
In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Bryan Peter Moran in 2015, and her sisters, Caroline Sugalski and Eleanor Sugalski.
She is survived by two sons; Mark K. Moran and his wife, Isabel of Sterling, VA, Stephen B. Moran and his wife, Diana of Reidsville, NC; a daughter, Karen M. Velasquez and her husband, Jouel of Huntersville, seven grandchildren, Matthew, Valerie, John, Linda, Eric, Jodi and Jaci.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 12, 2018, in the Chapel of James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
