Dale Roger Niebur, 62, of Cornelius died October 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 13, 1956 in Cook County, IL to Maynard and Marilyn Niebur. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife J Read Obituary
Dale was a great guy and someone I admired (despite the fact that he abandoned Engineering to go to the "dark side" in a Commercial role). I always valued his opinion and trusted his judgment over the many years we worked together. We also shared a love of motor sports and traded our experiences on the track. I am deeply saddened by his passing and extend my sincere sympathy to his wife and family members.
It deeply saddens me to hear of Dale's illness and death. He was a great guy to work for and fun to have a beer with. When he recruited me to work for Corning, he had a daughter the same age as my son; the last time I saw him was when our kids both graduated from Syracuse on the same day.

Our sincere sympathies to Jocelyn & family. My wife and I were saddened to hear of Dales illness and passing. I was lucky enough to work in Dale's PLM group in the Corning fiber business years ago. He was very well respected and truly set the benchmark for PLM at Corning teaching many the craft. He cared deeply for the work, for his work mates and for his family and community. Dale was a wonderful role model to so many and so very proud of his family. Hit the slopes my friend!

We were fortunate to have met the Niebur's at water ski tournaments. The Niebur's attended numerous tournaments held at our site and Crystal and I have been reminiscing/ remembering the joy and friendship the Niebur family brought to the events. We could never get over the ongoing large smile that Dale always had. He loved to chat about his passions but the smile would always get a little larger and brighter when he shared stories about his family and their activities. Dale will be missed.

It saddens me to learn of Dale's passing. I worked with Dale many years ago in optical fiber where he was a great leader and mentor. I often recall the advice he would share and it helped me to become a better employee and a better person.
I admired his work ethic, and family balance. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences for your loss.
I had the utmost privilege and pleasure to work with Dale for several years as we started Corning's fiber end-user business in the mid/late 1980s. His attitude, effort and attention to details were legendary. But most importantly he made work fun. He was an inspiration. Dale was universally loved and admired.
May you all find some comfort in celebrating Dale's life and him having made this world a better place to all of us who were lucky enough to know him.

I am so very sorry to hear of Dale's death. I worked with Dale in the Telecommunications Products Division, at Corning Incorporated, for many years. I remember him as always being kind, and greeting people with a smile. My sympathies and prayers are with his family, and all who mourn his loss.
I am saddened to hear of Dale's passing. We worked together at Corning many years ago, and he was a good friend and colleague.

I'd like to offer my deepest sympathies. Dale hired me into Corning Inc and we worked together for years. He was always a great boss and even better friend. I remember many good business trips together when he would always make time to share a meal (and usually a really good bottle of wine) and our interests in cars & skiing while in Tokyo or Troy or someplace else in the world. I lost touch with Dale after he left for NC, but always valued our friendship and will miss him greatly. I'm sad that he had to go so soon!
Jocelyn and the girls, may the peace of the Lord be with you at this time and into the future. I will miss Dale. Owning similar black M3's I greatly enjoyed pitting next to him and running on the track with him at many Watkins Glen events. I enjoyed talking about his love of water skiing, and talking Corning Inc 'shop'. He always had a smile for me and was always willing to lend a helping hand in any way. I will truly miss him.
