Damon "Don" Marlowe Jr.'s Obituary
In Loving Memory of Damon Adon “Don” Marlowe, Jr. who passed away on January 4, 2024. At his side were his loving family.
Don was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on August 27, 1940. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Knowles Marlowe and father Damon Adon Marlowe, Sr.
He is survived by the love of his life, Sha Hopwell, his sister Ruth Marrene Marlowe Wilson as well as daughter Melissa Marlowe Coale and son-in-law Stuart Coale; daughter Christa “Kiki” Marlowe Short and son-in-law Rodney Short; and son Dennis Adon Marlowe and daughter-in-law Tammy Marlowe. He has five grandsons whom he adored: Austin Thomas Coale, Alexander James Coale, Tristan Noah Short, Ty Adon Marlowe and Joshua Aaron Marlowe. He will be dearly missed by them all and by his faithful dogs Paisley and Haven.
In addition to being an avid golfer, Don was an eternal Alabama fan “Roll Tide” and enjoyed listening to the timeless music of Jimmy Buffett.
A Celebration of the life of Don Marlowe will be held Saturday, January 20th beginning at 1:30 pm at his home
