I have often shared with my Husband Jim the fond memories of times when Dan came to Central Church Memphis to teach the choir the newest music. Dan was so kind and respectful and funny. Then a couple of years after Jim and I married, Dan returned for a choir symposium and performance. He’d just published Press On and we were the first group to get to sing it. In classic Dan, he sat at the piano and began playing and s I bring Press On, a song I love even over 20 years later. I am truly grateful to have known him as composer and as friend.
I was on the US tour with the Continental Singers in 1972 (guitarist). Dan was absolutely the best to work with and a truly amazing musician and speaker. Will remember always.

Dan was a dear friend to me and to CCLI. We got to know each other through MusiCalifornia and he later worked with us at CCLI. He was a brilliant musician and we loved having part of the team at CCLI. I am grateful to have known him and to have learned from him. Dan was a friend. We shared lots of music when he was in Arizona. I think the album Press On was debuted at Bethany Community Church in Tempe Az and I was privileged to be part of the choir. Dan surfed the years of changes in Christian music. We were introduced to many friends of Dan’s when he hosted us at Christian Artist Festival in Estes Park.
