Daniel Joseph Ripoll's Obituary
Daniel Joseph Ripoll, 86 of Huntersville, passed away on March 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 6, 1933 to the late Raymond and Florence Ripoll.
Daniel served our country in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He made his career in NYC transportation and retired as a superintendent after 24 years of service. Daniel was fascinated by air crafts, astrology, and was an amateur photographer. He enjoyed watching sports, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and extended family.
Along with his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his sister, Celia Medina; and brother, Raymond Ripoll. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helvetia; sons, Daniel (Santa) Ripoll of Huntersville and Michael (Loretta) Ripoll of Mooresville; sister, Deborah (William) Greulich of New York; grandchildren, Peter, Mark, Alisha, Courtney, Justin, Dennis, Andrea, Natalie, and Billy; great grandchildren, Justin, Jr., Gabriella, Angelina, and Olivia; and sister, Lydia Ripoll.
A visitation with prayers and military honors will be held from 2-4 PM, March 29 at James Funeral Home. The burial will be at Salisbury National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Daniel’s name to the American Heart Association, 128 South Tryon St., Suite 1588, Charlotte, NC 28202.
