David Chandler's Obituary
David Alan Chandler, 50, of Huntersville NC passed away Tues, Oct 4, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his father, David W Chandler. Dave is survived by his beloved daughter Dillen Chandler, of Mooresville, NC, who was the Light of his Life.
Dave was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in the Midwest before joining the Army and being stationed abroad. After living in Chicago, he moved to NC in 2008. Dave served in the United States Army Airborne Special Forces and Calvary units. He was honorably discharged in 2003 after 13 years of service. He also had a successful career in the IT field until he retired in 2021.
Hobbies included traveling, concerts, movies, Sudoku, fishing, bow hunting, camping, and collected of fine watches and guns. His generosity and kindness was second to none, and he loved spending time with his loving "framily" and his endeared companion Amy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 8, 2022 at James Funeral Home, Huntersville.
Visitation will be from 10 am until service time. A reception will follow the service at James Funeral Home Community Room. Committal services will be held at 9am Tuesday October 11, 2022 at Salisbury National Cemetary.
