David Franklin Miller's Obituary
David (Dave) Franklin Miller, age 89, passed away on April 24, 2020 in Davidson, NC. He was born in Woodbury, NJ and later moved to Wenonah, NJ with his wife to raise their four children. Dave is a graduate of Woodbury High School Class of 1948. He was an Eagle Scout and Boy Scout leader. He served in the US Army as 1st Lieutenant. Dave was an active member of the Wenonah community serving on Wenonah Borough Council for 10 years, President of Wenonah Playground Association, and an active contributor to Wenonah Athletic Association. Dave led the first restoration of the Wenonah train station in the 1970’s transforming it into a community center. Dave was a loving husband and father. After 85 years in South Jersey, Dave moved to NC to be near his oldest daughter.
He is survived by his daughters Susan Sole (Howard) and Betty Hannoun (Imad), his daughter-in-law Sandy Miller, his son-in-law Ed Abrams, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Brown Miller, his daughter Carol Abrams, his son Michael Miller, and one grandchild.
