Diane and I met when Kerry and Jordan were in middle school.
They never lost touch neither did Diane and me.
I worked at Scholastic for 7 years with her.
She will be missed but never forgotten.
She was a second Mom to Jordan and I to Kerry. They called us both Mom.
Could not want a better person to be my daughter’s second Mom.

When I worked with Diane at Scholastic, she made me laugh daily. She was so good at her job and her book fair chairs loved her, but she refused to use technology and instead relied on her handy pencil & paper. There were many stories told of the "old days" that resulted in lots of laughs. Her cubicle was decorated like a beach condo. We would joke that she wanted sand under her desk to get the full beach effect. I used to love listening to her mumble under her breath, just loud enough for me to hear (usually curse words). She told it like it was and didn't hold back. She was an amazing person with a wonderful personality, and I will miss her.
She always had such a welcoming and kind presence that you can't forget ❤️
I worked out of the Scholastic home office in Lake May, FL and have some very fond (and fun) memories of Diane from our regional meetings where she never failed to tease me about my favorite watering hole in the Charlotte area - the Galway Hooker. She was so much fun to be around and although we lost touch over the years I will never forget her. My sincerest condolences to her entire family.
