Diane Gorsuch's Obituary
Diane Manoll Gorsuch, 84, of Fort Mill, SC died July 6, 2024 after a brief illness. She was born on November 4, 1939 in East St. Louis, IL to the late Roy and Lillian Manoll.
She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Norris.
Diane was an elementary school teacher for almost 40 years, first in Maryland and then in Fayetteville, NC. She and Norris travelled extensively in their retirement with many of their good friends in Fayetteville. She loved to play games and formed many Mahjong, Texas Canasta, and Mexican Train groups in Fayetteville, NC and then in Carolina Lakes Sun City, Fort Mill. She loved spending time with her family and relocated to Fort Mill 11 years ago to be closer to her daughters. She will be missed by all of her friends and family, near and far.
Diane survived breast cancer 20 years ago and was grateful for all life's gifts she received in those years.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Gorsuch and her husband Jack Charles Lightner, Jr. of Huntersville and Pam Johnson and husband Chuck of Charlotte; and grandchildren, Libby, Grant and Fletcher.
Per her request, services will be private.
