Diane Marie McMahon's Obituary
Diane McMahon, age 67, of Huntersville, North Carolina, passed away on November 11, 2023, in her home surrounded by family and friends after a 14-month battle with cancer.
Diane was born January 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Robert Rosenberger and Kathleen Healy. She attended high school at both Madonna and Foreman and graduated from Ippolito School of Cosmetology in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to her adoring husband, James McMahon for 44 years with whom she had 5 children, Ryan, Kiernan, Taige, Liam, and Elaise.
Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, who poured her life into her family, homeschooling 5 children from kindergarten through high school over a span of more than 30 years. She was always giving of herself into the lives of others - her family was her most cherished possession.
Diane is survived by her husband, Jim, their 5 children, Ryan, Kiernan, Taige, Liam, and Elaise, her sisters Barbara Holz, and Dawn Wyatt, her sister-in-law-Sharon Rosenberger, her nephews Michael, Robert, Vincent, and Kurtis, as well as her nieces Kristen, Kelly, and Natalie, and all the many cherished Brothers/Sisters-in-Law, nephews, and nieces on the McMahon side of the family that are presently too many to list. Truly she had a great inheritance when it came to family. She is preceded in death by her father Robert, and mother Kathleen, as well as her brother Robert.
The visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, November 17th, 2023 at James Funeral Home in Huntersville NC, and services will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 18th at Crossway Community Church in Charlotte, NC. A private burial service for family and close friends will take place at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Charlotte.
Pallbearers will be her sons Ryan, Kiernan, Taige, and Liam McMahon.
