Dolores Melin's Obituary
Mrs. Dolores Melin, 77, of Huntersville, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017.
Dolores was born in Tiffin, Ohio and after graduating from Heidelberg College moved to Wisconsin to attend graduate school at the University of Wisconsin. Dolores was a devoted grade school and middle school teacher during her approximate forty year career. Dolores moved to North Carolina for retirement to be closer to her family. Dolores enjoyed spending time with family, watching University of Wisconsin football and basketball games, traveling, and cooking. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Milo and Juanita. Dolores is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ken Melin, their children; David Melin (Michelle) of Huntersville, NC, Steven Melin (Brittany) of Fletcher, NC, grandchildren; Reagan, Brody, Jenna, and Chase, sisters; Betty Feather (Milton), and Patricia Rayburn (Larry).
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday, November 19 with a celebration of Dolores’ life beginning at 3 p.m. at James Funeral Home of Huntersville.
