Donald Douglas Shook's Obituary
Mr. Donald Douglas Shook, 80, of Huntersville, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017.
Donald was a native of Madison County, NC the son of the late Litton and Vashti Shook. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice A. Shook; son, Timmy Payne; sisters; Barbara Blakenship, Patricia Callender, Georgia Riddle, brothers; Charles R. Shook, Garland Shook, and Edward “Bug” Shook.
Donald worked as a truck driver for over 30 years and won several safe driving awards. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains and loved to make cornbread and pinto beans.
Mr. Shook is survived by his daughter, Sharon Warren (Steve), sister, Melinda Shook, grandson, Stephen Warren (Adriane), and his great-granddaughter “his little angel”, Samantha Warren.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8 with funeral services starting at 11 a.m. in the chapel of James Funeral Home of Huntersville. Committal services will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
